S5 TII? Yes please!
Some of you may already know about this, but I am finally getting my FC today.
It's a 1989 TurboII. Red on black leather interior. The motor is blown. $500.
A few of us are leaving work early and going to pick it up today. I'm hella excited. Pics and more details to follow!

WooHoo....I just picked up my '89 red on black leather interior T-II last Saturday for $1000.
Congrats stickgoat....and have fun getting her back in shape!!
Mine wasn't running either.......diagnosis (thanks to all the info on the boards) .....no compression carbon lock.
Worked on her a couple of hours everyday shooting in Amsoil power foam and turning her over and she finally started up last night
Unfortunately that's when I found out the clutch is shot
Will post pics if anyone wants to see......

So the TII is now home. Stephen and I are quite pleased with our newest acquision.
The motor is pretty much disassembled...the back of the car is filled with various parts, and we also got a spare turbo and intercooler. The spare turbo appears to be seized, but we'll look into that more later.
Unfortunately the block may be off of an '86. Naturally, this won't do seeing as it's an '89 TII and thus all parts will be from an S5 TII.
We're hoping to have it running by the end of the year. Obviously I'd like to get it on the road sooner, but well, the funds have to be there.
All in all the car is in fantastic shape. There is zero body damage, the paint, while faded in places and slightly oxidized, is actually not THAT bad and we're going to spend the weekend cleaning and waxing the hell out of it.
Interior isn't bad...very dirty as of now, but in alright shape. Driver's seat is worn and has a small rip in the side, there is no radio of any sort, but all the power options and moonroof are there. Shifter bushings are shot all to hell....shifter won't hold in any gear but reverse.
I can't stop smiling about this car....I'm so excited. I've hugged it repeatedly and even humped it in the parking lot of a Burger King.
Special thanks to Reese (NOTA944) and Donald (not on the forum) for locating the car and informing me about it, as well as finding a truck and dolly and driving 2 hours to pick it up with me. You guys rock.
Work on the beautiful beast begins immediately. Pictures will be posted tomorrow (it's dark now) and records will be kept of all progress up until completion.
Thanks for all the congrats!

I'm very happy to have this car. It's THE RX-7 that I wanted. Of all years/generations the one I wanted the most was a S5 Turbo II, red with black leather and sunroof. Now we have one and all is well.
Pictures WILL be posted tomarrow so you can see it in all it's oxidized/motorless glory.
