S5 TII rebuild setting the TPS
i have ran my car for about 2 hours now and can not get it to idle below 2k. So i check the TPS for hms at the connector and it has 1.57. So i adjust it down to 1 and fire it up , now it is hunting for idle UP and down . Anyone have any ideas on this ?

bac removed, and it would not idle down. It did sit lower than 2k but was hunting so bad it wanted to die. Before i had reset the TPS it held at 2k real smooth no hunting

That sounds like a vacuum leak to me, the only way an engine can idle faster then normal is if it's getting too much air. Did you use fresh gaskets, or at least RTV the old ones when you reassembled it?
