No.

Snack 02-22-05 10:47 PM

Vert tails(s4 & s5) are larger then that coupe versions.... since there werent many 89+ verts made, they are hard and expensive to get ahold of :)

staticguitar313 02-23-05 12:13 AM

indeed, but i always run into them on ebay instead of the coupe ones, i guess you get what your not looking for huh

Hey moron, learn how to read... "there weren't MANY 89+ verts made".... u are obviously really illiterate idiot

and if YOU dont know what ur talking about, vert tails are larger then coupes 1's... the key hold isnt part of the tail light.. once again ur the idiot

hahah calm down noobie....it's ok to make mistakes...I misread MANY as ANY.....and I never disagreed with the larger part.......now dbl up on ur meds and calm down. I consider it part of the taillight assembly.....
:bigthumb: now stay out of the sun....it's making u a cranky boy.

ecyrb | SLC 02-23-05 02:46 PM

Hey Nice tails brotha........See them in person everyday they look amazing, worth the time to mod them yourself or the money so erik can do it for you.

felixwankel88 02-25-05 10:16 PM

I sent my tails out to him today ill let u know how they look in a few weeks

drewl 02-26-05 03:34 PM

ok.... but to my knowledge, there are big differences in vert to coupe tails...... each taillight is actually 2 pieces on a vert..... part of the taillight goes up with the trunk when its opened...... coupes are 1 piece..... i think they use vert taillights on european coupes due to the enlarged liscense plates, but not sure!! ill post a few pics so you see what i mean

note....... also, european taillights have one white reverse light, and a red one

i love the way they look

has anybody tried to put them in the oven for a few minutes to soften the clue to pull them apart.?

drewl 04-29-05 12:27 AM

i used a hair dryer. heat gun would be better. i thought about using the oven but i dunno how hot to do it. i didn't wanna melt the lenses or anything.

sub9lulu 04-29-05 12:49 AM

i like the stock one better

SmogSUX 04-29-05 12:54 AM

^^ Stock > ALL ...It took me 8 hours with a hair dryer to open up one tail, remove all the silicone, put in all new silicon and let it sit overnight to dry. I'm not even going to bother with my right one..haha.

staticguitar313 04-29-05 12:54 AM

i like s4 lights better

jarred 04-29-05 01:04 AM

s4's rock the mullet

eriksseven 04-29-05 01:52 AM

They are 10x better than stock s5's.

If you saw them in person, they'd change your life... lol.

staticguitar313 04-29-05 01:57 AM

i have no problems with the stock s5's i like them how they are, but i prefer my S4's bc i like keeping my car series correct, unless its something like a radio surround b/c the s5's where made of non brittle rubberized plastic, unlike s4's. Every car has fucking dual round taillights i liekd them at first, but i refuse to buy them, seeing as i got two sets of S4's for $10 in good condition + a rear bumper cap

90WhiteVrt 04-29-05 08:46 AM

Its nice but i like my stock S5's just as they are! :bigthumb:

CyborgRyu 04-29-05 01:33 PM

there are some on sale on ebay right now....

TOOSHORT_88 04-29-05 04:08 PM

Hey yo, i have seen *(eriksseven's)* car up close and those tails are bad ass, gives his car a more futureistic look/sporty look, hey erik this is jason the guy with the 2nd gen /gp body kit. u ever thought of replacing your blinker with a blue bulb , that would be sick! but illegal.

ForsakenRX7 04-29-05 07:29 PM

I did this to my black s5. Best thing I've done to my car. I get more comments on the taillights from people I know than any damn thing else. And (no offense) but I think it looks even better on a black car.

ForsakenRX7 04-29-05 07:31 PM

Oh, I almost forgot. I did em with a heat gun. Took me about an hour to do both. Much faster that way.

mcnannay 04-29-05 07:47 PM

remtec76 11-08-05 01:16 PM

I've had mine like that for the past year and a half,I recomend you leave the turn signal part in they are to bright.

Yosho 11-09-05 03:43 AM

Great looking tail lights. Very OEMish looking unless you knew what the stocker's looked like.

Has anyone tried heating them up in the oven yet? I just thought I'd throw this idea out there to the community as it's common among Honda Civics. It might work well on FC's as well.

I just did a search for Honda+Civic+Oven on google and found some results. Here's one of them...

i love how u did the tinted tails eric....i like the s4's cause to most of the little street racers in my area dont know anything bout the rx7 engine wise atleast...i have a na s4....i like my tails....but im thinking bout tinting them seeing as i tinted all the markers except front turn signals.....im gona buy a thing of tint soon and tint the tails and front markers and buy plastice polish and clean up my lenses....i buy rc window tint at a hobbie store its like 3$ a bottle only problem is it doenst hold a shine that well...it does hold one tho...lol anyways moving along i was thinking bout getting some actual window tint for my tailights and just spray tinting my front turnsignals i kno the front would look good but the tails i duno and i dont want to mess up....ive grown accustomed to tinting the outside of the lights cause its easier to do i just havent found a clear coat that will make it shine and not change the tint silver....ive tinted the tails on a s10 and a gti and they both liked it....i duno i was wondering if i took the vht nighshade and tinted my tails externally would it hold a shine.....i will know cause i know what the tint i use looks like.....thanks :smiley309

Yeah, I've always tinted on the outside of the tails. VHT is very glossy, but, if you want assurance of glossiness, you've got to do a final clear-coat.

It's kind of funny, for my next 'secret s5 tail-project' I was thinking about using Testors transparent black tinting spray--but I don't have any experience with it... Just the 'red' color for doing 'all red' tails on assorted cars. Wheras you are just the opposite with VHT, lol.

I will tell you that VHT shines purple in color, sprays violently out of the can and has a tendency to 'spider-web' if the surface isn't prepared properly :(.

Other than that, it's *probably* the best... What does the 'hobby-shop' tint look like?

turbo-polak 11-09-05 04:22 PM

i definately like it... its something different....
i used to own a vw, and we used to experiment on almost all of the cosmetics of our cars...(maybe cause they were no good being fast? )

keep up the good work buddy :dubs:
