s5 rotors in an s4? whose done it?
Hey i was just wondering who out there has dropped some s5 rotors in their s4 (n/a)? how much did it cost (parts and install)? was it hard to do? what kind of performance increase did you feel? was it all worth it? just curious about this...i read a thread a while ago about the renesis rotors getting put into an FC but im more leaning towards just swapping some s5s in...thx for any info you can give me

Basically you can run any kind of 13B rotor in any other 13B engine, you can build a hybrid suited to whatever you want. I have GSLSE rotors in my turbo motor. Each rotor provides different compression and weight characteristics. The higher compression, the more power. The less weight, the less initial torque (off the line) that is generated. Older rotors are heavier and thus easier to take off with, newer rotors are lighter and have a slightly higher redline (though I regularly exceed 8krpm with my heavy 11.5lb SE rotors and no vibrations or power loss at all).
IF you're in there for a build and you have later rotors on hand, well, then use them (wth the appropriate front and rear counterweights as well). Do not just tear down a good motor for a rotor swap, you wont know the difference. IT is maybe a 10hp gain, if that.
