![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I wrecked my s4 TII about a month ago and picked up an s5 na for only 500 bucks recently. I am now swapping everything over. I have resolved quite a few issues Ive had, but now I am starting the wiring and need some help. I am using a s4 TII ecu and wiring harness, but as many of you probably already know the interior wiring harness (for the gauges and what not) is not the same between the series 5 and series 4 cars. What I am planning on doing is just getting wiring diagrams for each and splicing the wires in. The only problem is that the connectors dont have the same number of pins. Also, where can I find wiring diagrams that will show what each colored wire is for? The other issue is with the crank angle sensor. On the s5 cars the connector for the cas is on the engine wiring harness, while on the s4 cars, the connector is on the chassis harness. Being that I am using the s5 chassis harness (no cas plug) and the s4 engine harness (no plug again) I have no way to plug it in. I am assuming I can just use the wiring diagrams I get to direct wire the cas into the plug at the ecu. If not....well Im kinda screwed. Any advice would be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

with FSM and some patience its not that hard to re-wire it
we had to do it on our european NA FC which came stock with distributor, it took one afternoon....
take your time, all diagrams are in FSM.....having other car or harness where it worked before is really helpfull, if i am not able to go thru manual, i go by each wire on car where it worked.....

Alright, I think I should be able to do this but still have a question. I can get the signal from the cas to the s4 ecu by just directly wiring it, but how will the timing signal get from the ecu to the coils now? I suppose I will just have to rewire the coils then somehow. I just would like for someone that has already done this to point out some of the differences that need to be taken care of. Thanks again,
Chris

Alright, I got the cas, coils, injectors and some other things all spliced in, but I have problems. The starter wont work, nothing on the interior works. I checked fuses and nothing is blown. I tried splicing into the "3" plug coming from the engine with no result, but when I jumped the battery wire, the interior lights worked. Jumping the ignition or main relay wires made the main relay click but the starter still didnt work. There is no voltage at the starter or at the ignition switch itself.
There are quite a few wires that arent spliced (emissions, a/c, ps and other stuff mostly). One thing I am really lost on is the two wiring plugs that are on the engine wiring harness that come off right by the knock control box. They are inside (not in the engine bay) and the connectors are different between series. They dont even have the same number of wires. I need to know where to find out which wire should be spliced where. I looked throught the fsm but I cant find what Im looking for. Also, does anyone know what these wires are for?? Im guessing interior things like heater, warning lights and other things but Im not sure. It shouldnt really stop other **** from working thought I wouldnt think.
