S5 N/A Rotor inspection
I brought a pair of rotors thinkin they were in good shape. When I got 'em I didn't know what to look for as far as the face being smooth. I got the RX7 vids and took a second look at the rotors and realized they had pin stripes (yeah like suits) and figued I got jipped right, so I buy a bad/questionable enigne for a c-note, had a b*tch of a time gettin the flywheel nut off <-- ALL the horror stories were true! I tore the block down and found out that one rotor was garbage, the other looked aight, but it has them stirpes. Is this a type of normal wear, or are these rotors junk

LMFAO. Stripes, huh?
Those are factory machine lines from production of the rotor. The 89-95 rotors all have machined dishes (some have machined faces as well, like this one, but this doesnt matter one way or another). This supposedly gave them a more accurate compression dish all around, for more efficient and equal combustion in the engine.
There ain't jack wrong with that rotor, other than it needing a bit more cleaning
EDIT: Holla back playa...

RR,
Whats poppin pimpin?!! Thanks for the science on the rotor faces. I haven't cleaned anything yet. Now that I know they're good I'll clean them, Or maybe I can find someplace to blast parts clean with bakingsoda
