S5 N/A gauge cluster on a S4 N/A...

I know this question has been asked before, I remember reading about it, but I've searched and cant find anything Anyway, i want to swap a S5 instument cluster onto my S/4 N/A. One because I just think it looks better, and 2 because when i get my rebuild I will be switching to S5 rotors and a SP, so I will be making power above my 7K redline now. I know there was a complete write-up on how to swap the gauges, so If anyone can post that up I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I haven't done it, but you have to rewire the plugs. Here's a link to a diagram.

This has been covered quite a few times both here and on the teamFC3S.org board.

But the short of it is that you will need either the S5 cluster harness or move pins on the S4 harness to match up to the S5 layout.

This is the S5 layout:

Thanks Icemark. Yea like I said I KNOW Ive read it here before, and I could of sworn there was a detailed write-up on it, but I couldnt find it. So, if I have the gauge cluster harness, its just a plug in swap??

yeah I remember someone I gave that schematic too did do a nice write up... but can't think of who it was off the top of my head.

The S5 harness should plug right into the dash harness, (someone PM'd me that it would about 6 months back) but you should double check the wires just to make sure (and since I hadn't personally tried plugging just a S5 cluster harness into a S4 dash harness).

Well, now that you mention it a nice 7" yellow tach, mounted right in the middle of my dash might not looks so bad.....

Don't forget to put a big red R on it too. I reads more acrrurately that way, and might get you a few more hp.
