s5 motor and s4 waterpump questions

I have a 90 GXL that needs a new water pump. Will the s4 water pump fit on the s5 motor without any modification? I would believe it would but am not 100%. Please let me know.

The S4 water pump will only work if you use the S4 water pump housing.

I don't know how well the S4 pump handles the extra 1000 rpm up top, though.

hmmm SO id have to change to a s4 waterpump housing too huh? Well crap. Anyone got a s5 waterpump for sale ?

Yeah, the pump design is slightly different. S5 pump has an extra bolt on the bottom, so you can't swap between series without the housing. The studs are identical, though.
