S5 Front Sway Bar Endlink removal? (pic)

Hi,
This endlink, on the sway bar side, not the LCA side has only a bolt on one side and when trying to remove it it just spins.

Anyone know how to unbolt this endlink?

(also, please do not suggest for me to buy new ones such as the mazdatrix endlinks...that is not an option for me)

Thanks,
-a

I suggest a dremel and to cut it off....

Just make sure you get a strong enough replacement bolt.

I am not sure if you guys understood what I meant....I need to reuse the endlinks. How do I take them off without ruening/braking them?

I remember reading somewhere that the bolt has an allen wrench type hole in the center that you can use to keep it from spinning

I'd use a dremal and cut a slot into it large enough to accommodate a large flat head screw driver to hold it in place.

They're talking about cutting the BOLT.
Slot the end of the bolt with a dremmel so you can use a screwdrive to hold that end while you wrench away at the nut end.
Looking at the ammount of rust, I'm not optomistic that that aproach is going to work. I'd probably try it (after soaking the whole thing in WD or Liquid wrench) but be prepaired to cut the nut off.
VERY IMPORTANT: Replace with a "grade 8 bolt" (not the $.05c crap at Wal-Mart) and use a washer so you don't have the same problem next time.
Good luck.

there is hex head inside that bolt, but it did not helped in our case, it was too rust/frozen together so we had to trash it anyways.....S4 links are better imho anyways

I used my the needle-nose vice grips to grip the metal shaft between the end link's rubber boot and swaybar. Alternately, you'd use an air-powered impact wrench.

Sort of like removing the strut/shock nut.
