S4 TurboII engine stationary gear failer.. lots of pics!
Well S4 engine locked up on a local club memeber.. and I picked up the engine to take apart and use as a display.. well the front half was perfect, apex seals were like new, housings perfect, rotors had no carbon build up, and looked as if it was reciently rebuilt..still had HYLOMAR on the side plates water seals.
Thats the rotor from the front.. uncleaned fresh out the motor.
Well on to the fun part..

I don't know the story behind to the damage.. I sent a pm to the prevous owner of the engine and asked what exactly he was doing when this happend. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out.. but for now.. I figure I would share.
I my guess is he missed shifted.. over revered and damaged the stationary gears, till it locked up.

ouch. That must have made one hell of a death cry...
I assume the housing was wiped out by the rotor too, judjing by the apex seal grooves being pinched/folder over shut. Dang.
