S4 TII rotors in S4 NA block?
Hey guys. I picked up a block from an 86 base model, looks in good shape aside from a stuck apex seal. I've got a turbo and FMIC from my old car collecting dust and I'd like to build the thing into something that can take some boost. It's a decent sized turbo so I don't want to go high compression. Can TII rotors be put into it? With a lower compression would the engine be able to handle boost like a TII? (with enough fuel)

Sure you can put s4 t2 rotors in your n/a block. It will give you a lower compression to make the engine last longer. Except your still going to have the same problems anyone else is going to have when trying to turbo your n/a engine. You would need custom intake and exhaust manifolds for the turbo to connect to. You won't be able to use a t2 intake manifold because it doesn't have a place for the 6th port sleeves to be actuated which I believe the intake bolt patterns are different anyway. Also either way you look at you will need a new ecu whether its a t2 ecu or a ems. Larger injectors are needed. I'm sure there is alot of stuff I missed out. You need to ask yourself, do you have 5 grand to spend on your car? And are you willing to have about 6 months downtime? Honestly if your going to spend 5 grand on your car, I'd would try to find a s5 t2 longblock engine and buy the wiring harness and ecu and just do a swap to an actual t2 engine.
