S4 T2 or S5 T2 drivetrain?
Which drivetrain is stronger and lsd lasts the longest, the S4 t2 or the S5 t2? also, does the S4 tranney bolt right up to an S5 motor?

They're basically the same. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure that the LSD in the 89+ is the viscous LSD, which should last longer then the S4 clutch LSD.

Yes, the viscous lasts longer, but is much weeker. There are people running 9-10 second 1/4 miles on the stock S4 TII diff. The S5 TII one will not take the HP the S4 one will. Also the S5 one takes longer to react than the S4.
And I don't think either tranny/driveshaft will hold more than the other. But I could be wrong.

The S4 and S5 T2 transmissions use the same clutch, PP and aftermarket flywheel. Using the r-type transmission which is shared by the FD but the FD is a pull type as ours is push.
Which is stronger, IMO the difference is marginal. S5 transmissions recieved revised synchros I believe. The only real variable between the two is the S5s viscous LSD and the S4s clutch type. The clutch type is better overall but wears faster then the S5 viscous.

You need to match the flywheel with the transmission. Also, if using a S4 Engine, you will need a S4 flywheel.. and if using a S5 Engine, will need a S5 flywheel (Either will bolt up, but they have different counterweights.. Using a flywheel from a different series engine can lead to abnomal bearing wear, and possibly engine vibrations due to it being out of balance..)
About which drivetrain is stonger..I *think* the S5 tranny had additional bracing on the casing, but that just may be on the N/A models. There are people pushing insane amounts of power through both drivetrains, so I wouldnt worry about it too much. Like said before, the main difference will be in the type of LSD. The S4 uses the clutch LSD, and the S5 is a viscous. The Clutch type is FAR superior as far as performance goes. It grabs much stronger. The only downside is that it wears out...
The viscous will last forever pretty much, but is pretty slow reacting. You really cant break it, being that it uses the fluid to lock up.

i will be using an S5 engine with an S5 flywheel and clutch, im just wondering if they will work with T2 tranny. i know you cant use a T2 flywheel or clutch with an NA tranney becasue they are too big, but since the NA flywheel and clutch are smaller, shouldnt they be compatable with the T2 tranny?

(Hence the reason I just needed to sell my N/A RB aluminum flywheel and ACT Clutch kit...

crispeed said in the single turbo section (or was it rotary performance) that the S4 diff was good for mid 9-second passes...i don't know about the s5s, but they are not clutch-type.
