I like s5 more than s4 because s4's look too retro but are there people in this forum that actually likes the s4 look more??

i dont think the s5 tailights are as good as some people think. i think the s4 ones with the frames painted to match the car looks great.....i like the s4 gauge cluster also. s5 interior and exterior still takes the win.(except the center console which has alot less room).

As posted countless times, the S5 taillights look like something from a 87-88 Tbird. I guess if you like the Tbird look. They just do not tie into any other pre-FD RX-7.
The dumb S5 embossed front bumper is pretty bad (at least aftermarket got that right and deleted it-even on the collsion parts they deleted it)
The S5 wheels on the Turbo and GTUs look like they were stolen from a Mercury Sable (why didn't they use the 16" BBS wheels like the Infini III and IV got???)
The S5 mouse belts on the coupe is a abomination.

The S5 interior door panels and aero kit for the Turbo, they did get right though. The S5 Logicon is also a much better unit (too bad they cheaped out on all the other electronics).

But generally the heavier, softer, cheaper built S5 models just don't do much for me.

Mazda softend the s5 suspension, because consumers complained that the S4 models (particularly the Sport, GXL and Turbo) all had too much road feel.

The all your S5 belong to me!!! I love mine, and I also have an '88 vert.

How can you love the back end of an S5 Turbo....

And I don't have a problem with the front end either...

Of course the Tanabe and AGX set-up is pretty nice...

Nah, I think both series are great. I'm just thankfull I can have a couple of them. To each his own, just enjoy them.

Thanks man, it was at Deals Gap in those pictures this past weekend. About 1200 miles of driving in 4 days and for trips and events like that I put it on. I take it off when it gets parked and put the car cover on it.

How about this look?

I generally like working on the S4's as a whole. They were engineered rough and tough. Kind of like what Icemark said, the S5s got flimsey after consumer inputs. Come on plastic end links? Proof right there.

S4 TII, for the win! Admittedly, S5 TII had some things going for it... namely, the tail lights!

I like my s4, the only thing i prefer about the s5 are the bumper and tail lights. to me, that rounded look gives a menacing skyline look when lit...

86 sport, a true, back to the basics, simple and well engineered, non turbo sports car.

I also love my 87 TII, which is a work in progress.

Ok, so maybe I'm a little bi-series.... here's the 'Vert at Deals Gap last year.

I'm so confused....

Ok, the S5 sitting between two S4s...

Anyone got an S4/5 coupe in red they want to sell? I'm just gonna start collecting all of them in red...
