S4 and S5

Hrm, what are the advantages of one over the other? I know the S5 has more hp and boost.... But what about other things? Like S4 advantages.... And other S5 advantages?

Just curious because I'd kinda like to get the zenki engine for being able to just replace the fuel dampener with a banjo bolt, but haven't really made the decision on what I'll get yet...

Nah, I've seen that thread. It doesn't give a lot of info on s4s and s5s though... Just a little... Heh, I figured S4s were lighter though

so very true.

and do you mean like the little thinks like the wing the fenders or like something bigger such as tail lights . hahaha or what exactly do you mean.. and the engine is the same engine as a earlier model besides the oil metering pump, and alittle bit bigger rotors.

S4 has lower compression so theoretically, you can run more boost.
S4 has a mechanical OMP that isnt very prone to failure
S4 doesnt have those annoying automatic seatbelts

S5 has neet taillights
S5 has a better engine diagnostic system

Hrm, bit hard to search for s4 and s5

I don't care so much about looks.. Just differences in things related to performance or reliability... No need to post HP or other things in the FAQ though, hehe.

I know the kouki engines are safer when it comes to the fuel dampeners... But that the zenki can easily just have it's dampener replaced with a banjo bolt... So no need for those to be noted either heh heh.

Just to let everyone know, you can search for S4 and S5. If you notice under the text box it says to use an * as a wildcard. USE THEM, S4* or S5* it works very well.

S5's have newer looking exteriors, the tails are awsome. They have those damn auto belts, J-rat can these be converted to S4 belts with no problem? Stock they make more power, the highercompression give you slightly better off bost power, and quicker spool up. But the compression will also make tuning a little bit harder if you ever go with more boost. The S5 rotors are also lighter.

The S4's are lighter, don't have crappy auto belts, have lower compression rotors that are heavier.

Since just about everything can be interchanged between the two I woudl start with the S4 and use some S5 stuff, like the rotors, mouldings and taillights.

are the interiors the same?
can't you take your s5 to a mazda dealer and they have to fix your life time warrenty'd seat belts?

on a side note if you can get an s4 cheap you can just put all the s5 stuff you like (exterior wise) on it im fairly sure it's all pretty much bolt on

Perhaps that was a little strong.. I dont avoid them, per se. I just am not as knowledgable on them as I am the S4.

Uhh.. Rotor as in the turbo's rotor or the actual rotor in the engine? Heh heh, expensive I'd suspect......

Rotor in the engine. This is something to do when the motor gets rebuilt, although the S5/S6 rotors/counterweights can sometimes be expensive.
