Question S4 N/A - Headers , Big exhaust and 5/6 port actuation with rpm switch???

Ok I've been doing my research on this for quite some time now trying to figure out what kind of headers and exhaust I want to get. Im actually still not too sure , but from what I've gathered what I want to use is a Racing Beat header and corksport single outlet exhaust (3 1/8" piping)

Now from what I've learned with this highflowing setup I may not have enough backpressure to open my 5/6 ports. Id like to keep my 5/6 ports but there arent many choices other than to wire them open or completely take them out. The other option I saw is this setup, http://www.idahorotary.com/6portsolution.htm

I really want to keep my 5/6 ports , why get rid of them ??

Another concern i have is what header am I going to use, i would think id be using the header with no pickuptube for backpressure , but the problem is it has no housing for my 02 sensor , and it also requires to blockoff the acv (air control valve)

edit - with the rpm switch setup i could put a str8 pipe in there for racing and swap back to the cat after using it correct ?

The 6port solution says this about no acv - Those who wish to use this design but no longer have an ACV will need to purchase a valve similar to a garden hose in diameter to cap the end on the main air hose to vent pressure from the air pump . The air pump must maintain a minimum of 2 psi at your desired RPM to operate the port actuators.

Has any1 used a setup similar to this ? Some people are telling the 3 1/8" exhaust is too big...they make 1 catback to flange to the stock cat and 1 that is 3 1/8" the whole way (which should i use ? ) .... my main concer is having no flange for a 02 sensor , in the predictament what would i do ... buy a str8 pipe to attach to the rb header that has a 02 housing ? Im really not sure how im going to get a pipe to flange to the rb header as it has flanges for true dual and im going to be going to single outlet ....

Any help would be great as im going to be getting this exhaust setup pretty soon , my engine rebuild should be coming back to me in the middle of April.

Edit - with this rpm switch setup i could swap between a cat and str8 pipe correct ?

also someone told me u want to have backpressure in an na...and that having no backpressure can be bad for your engine ...is this true ?

what size exhaust would i truly want , is 3 1/8 " too big or just right ? I dont want to use a 2.25" exhaust if its just going to be restricting my power...

Assuming you’re taking about an NA – Is the lack of back pressure bad for the engine? No. Bad for performance? Yes. HP is directly related to intake. Intake is directly related to exhaust. Without writing an article, exhaust velocity is what you’re after. Using oversized sewer pipe for exhaust tubing will kill the low pressure area behind each exhaust pulse. This will kill velocity and decrease total flow. It’s the same reason some people with dremels and “take out as much material as possible” home port jobs go so slow. You need a flow bench to determine the best sized tubing to use. If you don’t own a flow bench, look for a exhaust manufacturer who uses one. Racing Beat uses a flow bench AND multiple dyno runs to determine what’s best. You could do a lot worse than Racing Beat, but the real question is – can you do better? Lastly, RB has a solution to your O2 and pickup tube problems.
