S4 Mechanical OMP adapter

Does anyone know if those are still available somewhere? Rotary avaiation doesn't carry S4 version anymore and I would really like to install one on my fresh rebuild.

I'm assuming he's talking about the OMP kit which would automatically inject oil from a separate tank as opposed to engine oil.

Premixing for people who are afraid to premix

you're both wrong.

the SOHN oil adapter is so that you get feeding premix oil inplace of the factory omp which injects oil even when the fuel injectors are not firing.

premix oil is better to burn the engine oil.. and it's better to inject it all the time.. not just went fuel is being sprayed..

premix by itself is not enough imfo.
omp is.

No. Adapter that fits between OMP and front cover in order to provide 2 stroke oil from a reservoir.

Bingo, and no premix phobia here. Just lazy.

Fabricating a bracket and purchasing a generic aluminum overflow tank is not a pain in the ***. trying to get the ratio right every time you fill up seems like P.I.T.A. in my opinion, but i guess i'm out of luck so block off plate it is.

Its not that hard if youre capable of doing 1st grade math. 1 ounce per gallon. 10 gallons is 10 ounces. Open cap and dump in 10 ounces. No fabrication necessary. 0% chance of an oil deficit.

Nearly every successful rotary racing campaign and prominent engine rebuilder disagrees with you. The porosity of the chrome layer on the trochoid surface is more than adequate to retain oil during compression braking; the only time premixing does not directly inject oil into the combustion chamber.

MOP oiling, either via engine oil or from a separate oil tank, is vastly lacking compared to premixing.
