AB S4 GXL pass door unlocks when driver door shut

Heya all, been so long since I posted. Have a super strange issue to diagnose. When I lock my doors from inside, driver side and shut the door the pass side will unlock. I have pulled the door handle and messed with the lock linkage a bit but it didn't seem to help or make it worse. Figured what was happening was the linkage got tweaked and when I shut my door the force was enough to make the auto locks think they should unlock the pass side, but as I said, changing that didn't seem to help.

Anyone had something like this happen? I didn't even realize that I was leaving my car unlocked every night until I noticed the factory alarm was not setting. Doesn't seem like a big deal but there's no way to get the factory system to arm now and while it isn't terribly effective....that big orange light is a nice deterrent.

Do you pull up on the door handle when shutting the drivers side door?

Tried with handle up, handle down. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I guess one point that may help is at some point in the last few months I stopped having to lift the handle to set the factory alarm.

Any other ideas? Gonna rip both doors apart and see if I find something because I think it has to be something in there.

is your drivers side exterior door handle working? As in can you open the door with it?
