S4 Fuel Cut off switch Help..:(
Hey guys, I looked around already but couldn't find anything that will help me really well with this..(fuel Cut switch)
i remember a thread a long time ago, about this but cant find it anymore.. and i cant remember how to do this.. all i remember is you get a heavy duty switch and connect 1 wire under the dash to the switch, and then switch to the other end but i don't remember what wire.. also i remember if you pick the wrong spot to put the switch between you would have a problem with your tach (doesn't read anything until shut down and reboot) you would need to play with the fuses and stuff. If anyone has this Saved or something please post or post a better easy fuel cut switch Thanks guys!!!
Best regards
Pat

Do you know where the Circuit Opening Relay is just above the steering column???????
It's connector has six sockets but only five wires in the plug.
Wire colors are: a Black/White wire........and next to it another Black/White wire and next to that one a Blue/Red wire. On the lower row of wires is a pure black wire followed by a empty socket followed by a brown wire. See if you can find that plug and relay.
Once you find it, pull the elect plug off the relay. Then find the B/W wire in the middle of the top row. You want to cut that wire at least two inches back away from the elect plug.
I assume your new switch has two places for wires. So you splice a new piece of wire to each of the cut ends of the newly cut B/W wire. One of these newly spliced wires will go to one place on your new switch and the other newly spliced wire will go to the other piece of the newly cut B/W wire.
Your done. Just put you new switch to ON for the pump to run and off for the pump to not run.
Let it be known that the pump will not run unless the engine is actually running..........or if the fuel pump check connector is jumpered and the key is to ON..........or if the key is HELD to START.
It will not run if the key is just put to ON only and engine not running. Beware of that little fact of life.
