s4/5 diffs - difference in casing

hey

looking to purchase a second hand diff as mine has given up the go. is there any physical external signs on the casing to say if it is a s4 or 5 or lsd/ non lsd diff? any help or extra info appreciated

Are we talking turbo only?

Casings are all the same - turbo to turbo, non-turbo to non-turbo.

Quick & dirty check is to spin one side - if the other spins the opposite way, it has no LSD (i.e. open diff).

thread hi-jack, how do you know when your lsd is finished? will you just... know... by the way the car drives?
