?s on suspension setup

Im planning on buying new shocks and springs soon. The price factor is a big one in my case. Im aiming for $400 for the whole shebang. Im pretty sure I want to get Tokico HPs (blues), they have them on ebay for cheap. Springs are what Im not sure about. I have been looking at the Tein S Techs because of their price, but they seem to have a reputation of being pretty much for looks. I want the suspension to be stiff, but not spine crushing. Ive also looked at the Tanabe springs. I see they give about a 1.5" drop. Anyone have pictures of their car with these springs on it?

Do yourself a favor and go look up under your front wheel well.... if you drop the car 1.5 inches... you don't have much suspension travel left.... RB and Eibach springs only drop the car .8 inches.. with good reason..

I know that there are guys out ther erunning retardedly low drop... but you have to run a spring rate so rediculously hard that it feels like riding on a skateboard...

I bought the Tokico's off of ebay and put them on this past weekend. Got them for $260 shipped. I used stock springs and the ride is much better. It is way more stiff than it was, but not harsh. Do you want to lower the car, or are you looking for good handling?

Yes I know, I was skeptical of the drop height. RB and Eibach would be nice, but if I can find something cheaper and decent that would be better. I may just hold off for a while though so I can get one of those.

Good handling definitely comes before looks.

I got those tein springs and its not a major drop for 1.5 inches even though the old shocks probably lowered it and the new ones made up the difference. Heres mine. Don't mind the paint.

These are the Suspension Techniques springs. I paid $189 for the set from www.shox.com and the drop is 1". The ride quality is nothing like stock of course, but it's bareable.

thanks man, that looks perfect. im not really worried about the ride. when i say "stock" referring to my springs, i might as well say "no springs whatsoever".
