S-5 jspec turbo engine surges.
Just fired up my S-5 swap today.. Its in a 82 FB. Its a stock Jspec engine. I running a cone filter with one 45 degree elbow, three inch down pipe. under drive main pulley, walbro inline 255 and pretty everything else is stock All the emissions are removed and block. it has blitz bov. the oil metering pump is still plugged into the harness. I running a jspec N-374 ecu.
So when i first start it runs right up to 2000 and holds rock steady. After about thirty seconds it starts surging down to 1000 and back to 2000. Which is why i think the previous owner in japan had the idle turned up. I never touched the idle.
Oh yea I also did the TB modd. It pulls solid vacuum at 20 until it starts suging and then it goes up to 14 or so and back to 20. Today is the first day i have ran it. It hasn't even left the garage yet. No exhaust just the downpipe. I have the home mad pill in the boost sensor line. I running a MSD 6Al on the leading, through the ignitor. It has new plugs the 7's and 9's new O2 sensor, new plug wires, fresh 92 gas in the tank. with a little premix also running the S-4 omp. I think it is senor related becuase for the first 30 seconds or so it runs perfect, then i think the computer starts reading the sensors and starts surging.
My haynes manual doesn't have crap for testing sensors. Does this sound familir to anyone. Thanks for the help..
