He has almost every bolt-on possible, minus forced induction.. At least I can take comfort in the fact that he has spend some 7 times more than what I've spent on mine.. I only have a cone intake, and the bonez racepipe..

But yeah.. his pulls like a ****.. it's pretty insane..

What really pissed me off is when he pulled higher lateral G's on the g-tech than me.. grrrr... Oh well..i suppose that after 14 years, the stock shocks and springs aren't up to par..heh And his are brand new..

Lateral G's are more about tires than anything else. My vert on it's original stock suspension with 115K miles pulled 1.02g's on a set of 225/50-15 used road race tires (GTU 15x6 wheels) on somewhat coarse asphalt.

I beat a neon that had all the common bolt on mods with a stock MR2 Turbo (The performance of the MR2 and the TII should be similar)

I don't think you are gonna need to worry at ALL

mm.. I was running Kumho Supra Ecsta 712's.. 225/50/16. Had about 3000 miles on them when we did the test

He has dunlop W-10's... 205/45/16 i think..

I only got 0.84 lateral G's.. He hit some 0.96 or so..

I know the g-tech isn't "accurate", but to compare numbers like this is perfectly valid..

The treadwear (softness) of the Kuhmos is 340 while the Dunlop is 200. That's a lot softer/stickier. Along with treadwear there's the issue of pressure. Without the correct pressure (which requires a pyrometer and several trips around a skidpad) you can't be sure whether or not the tires were even gripping to their fullest.

.96 on a street compound/street car is pretty impressive though.

Dude, its a neon. S-L-O-W. You should be able to whoop on him.

Make sure you bet him enough cash to make up for the gas you waste on him.

You also mentioned that its been wet lately and that would give you an edge on him.. Are you crazy? Have you ever driven in the wet in your T2? Geez man, youre going to die.

Theres no doubt in my mind you will eat him up. Go along with the "only 1.3 L, blah blah" stuff, then collect the cash

Good luck
