If you have to do it, then thats the way to go. At least its relatively safe and you aren't endangering other people.
Sure you can, you just gotta know where to go
http://www.texasmile.com Not a 1/4 track, but a drag strip none the less.

...in texas. Find me one of those 2 hours from Northern VA and I'll give you props cuz I never knew those existed. I won't take back what I said cuz I still wouldn't wait weeks and pay money just to run someone. Drag racing with 13+ second sports cars isn't hard, and as long as the driver is in complete control and knows the limits of his tires/brakes/suspension, in an empty back road theres next to no chances of him hurting himself or anyone else.
now driving on your local highway hoping to find races at red lights is another story...

lol I wish...I wouldn't be driving straight though. I know down south you have lots of abandoned country back roads, but up here its either you drive like a grandma or be the typical idiot and build your car for red light races.

I can relate to how street racing is very unsafe, but everyone here has gotta admit that say if you were in the position where your rolling up to a red light and you got another car enthusiast roll up to you, you guys are GONNA race theres no question about it. Wether its to 60(km) or if its to 100(km) city speeds its gonna happen, your not pressured to go to say 150(km).
Personally all that matters to me is who wins off the line. Everynight I go into town seeking enthusiasts to race at a redlight but my max is 100 km's in a 60 zone but most of the time ill keep it around 80 then let off. Never race during the day though at a red light only night like around 1 in the morning where no ones around.
Take into consideration to that i live in a smaller town then most of you city people.
Anways before i got thrown off back to the topic. Hope you win and stomp that honda to the ground. Mazda stands above.

ok,, so none of you have EVER been involved in a street race? you guys r gonna tell me that NOT ONCE you have been in one?
yeaaa, right!
remember something,, the track here is closed and nothing would please me more then to take it to the track. and it seems like there r management issues with the owners so is going to take a while before it re-opens..
Now getting back to the subject,, i honestly now that my car is stock and that it needs major modification to be at least worth mentioning.. i put this because im not to sure myself if my car is up to the task.... my driving skills are ok, im no pro, but i know for sure that i can get my 7 to go as fast as it should from start to finish...and it is pointless to post this, but i wanted to know my odds from ppl that know way more then me about the subject.

Well for starters you could check out:
http://www.exoticcarsite.com/0-60-qu...mile-times.htm
This site shows what your car ran at when it came stock out of the factory.

I'm not gonna argue about street racing because i could care less if people do it, but I WATCHED my friends s4 TII with intake and exhaust +s5 turbo(nothing more) beat my other friends eg gsr hatch. I cant remember what all the gsr had on it at the time, he has since done alot of work, but i think at the time it had headers, intake, exhaust, and I THINK he had the skunk2 IM+TB at the time. <maybe not that last one. Anyway, the TII stuck with him off the line, then passed in second.

Wow, another example of the greatness of the forums. 20 replies and only like 4 or 5 have anything to do with what he asked. Street racing is fine as long as its done correctly and safely. Not like a dumbass around a bunch of normal traffic. I predict you will take him no problem. GRS swapped civic probably weighs what, 2400lbs? depending on hatch or coupe. Has maybe 175whp. You have a 7 making at the very least 200-225whp and weighs a bit more. You should have him easily
