Rx7 n/a to turbo

Hey guys, i was just wondering if any of yall have done what i want to do. I got a 1987 rx7 gxl n/a. The apex seals went out on it so i was going to put low compression rotors in it. Then turbo kit and so on. I only have about 4000 to work with. So do you think that would be the cheapest way to get a turbo on there.

It would be best to just get a jspec S5 TII engine and harness with optional TII drivetrain and swap it in. TII Engine and Drivetrain and required parts will be a little over $2000. Find an engine & tranny you can pick up or is free, the rest you should find on the board. Search, its been done.
