runs hot

my fc and fd both have lager aluminum radiators, but both run hot in the summer. the fd will go up to 220F and my fc will also get up there. should i take out my thermostats and/or replace my water pumps. cause its just normal driving not even getting on the throttle... also my fc fan just shuts off sometimes and is controlled by my microtech. i have yet to find why the fan just dies. but i know its not the fan motor. when it dies i just bypass the relay and run it straight off the battery. so maybe its the relay?????

The FD and the FC are two different cars with different cooling systems. You should post in the FD section about your FD.

As for your FC, what modifications do you have? You've given almost no information.

sorry, ya the fd should be in the other section. just wondering cause they are similar problems. uh the fc is street ported and using the non turbo pump that is all steel... i think. its a god speed radiator, with the stock thermostat. the water pump is the original off an 88 model. i dont think it is running lean, it was running 12/1 but i have leaned it out alittle for the cold start cause it kept fauling the plugs.
