runs great till it warms up..

sorry if i have missed a post someplace that talks about this. ok so here is the problem, i swapped the engine in my 87 gxl hooked it all up filled everything, the engine fired up and it ran great. took it for a drive, not too far. well i went to drive it the next day and after about three miles or so the engine wouldn't rev past 1 1/2 rpms. it does this evertime it warms up. it wont accelerate. it will only idle. i'm afraid it could be bad seals. is there any way to tell?

You can maybe do a compression test or it might be the ignition timing.

I've seen this before and it was caused by the TPS plunger sticking internally. Try this: pull the elect plug off the TPS and then drive the car. IF it now runs normal.......bad TPS. Takes but moments to do this check out. In essence the TPS is cutting fuel much like it's supposed to do when your driving and let off the trottle all the way.........and once the rpms have dropped down to approx 1300-1500 rpm the ECU delivers fuel once more. Endless cycle with a stuck TPS plunger.

probably low voltage to the fuel pump, check the voltage to the fuel pump under the rear cargo carpet and fuel pump cover shield with the engine running.

EDIT:

"Find" the plug to the fuel pump. This plug is located behind the driver side speaker/strut carpeting. There are four wires in this plug and two of them are blue. With the car running, take a voltage measurement on these wires.
