runs good then later.... bad
My 88 gxl as soon as I get her all warmed to normal temp in the morning Ill get on her and it will feel fast and very responsive without hesitation in high RPM. But after I shut her off and drive it later on in the day or evening it doesnt feel nearly as responsive and it either hesitates or bogs when I hit 5500 and 6500 rpm (I have an 89 engine in it so redlines 8000) So can anyone tell me whats the deal here? The car will just have a whole different feel to it. Well any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Keep Right Except to Pass
Hmm, the first thing that I see is you have 550 secondaries. I was under the impression that the stock 460s were good unless you've got a bridge or better porting.
A cold engine likes more fuel, but you say that it's fine the first time you get it warmed up. Does it stay fine if you keep driving for quite a while?
Did you run into any snafus while doing the S5 to S4 swap? That's the other thing I would scrutinize.

is there a big temp change between those two times? It's gotta be something with fuel. I was going to say VDI, but that wouldn't make it bog. I think you should get your old injectors back and see if it changes.

I still have the 88 manifold on the 89 block. I am going to put the old injectors back in it soon. There is no temp change between the two times. It just seems to run smoother but much slower and less responive in high rpms. And what is a snafus? THANKS FOR THE REPLYS THOUGH!!

Must...scrub...parts...
I believe a snafu is a problem or difficulty. I'd try the standard replacing of the sparkplugs, gas and air filters, etc. One question, is it cooling down completly between driving?
