You mean the resistor near AFM with 'L' and 'R' marks on it, right? Yeah i did messed with it... Couldn't get idle smooth with it...

yea that's it.
the only other causes i can think of are ignition timing, incorrectly set TPS. faulty ignition components or dirty injectors. the only other thing is compression but if it is a newly rebuilt broken in engine it should have fine compression.

Thanks Karack you just confirmed my thoughts... The engine actually is in the final stage of the rebuild - assembling so we'll know soon if that was the compression...
