Running to rich? Modded T2

Ok my T2 is modded pretty well and recently I have had to bump up the afc at idle to get it to idle smooth.
I am thinking that it may be dirty injectors or my intake filter is to dirty?
Well the downside of this is that it hasd turned my nice red bumper to a BLACK rear bumper. Has anyone ever had this problem?
I tried adjusting the bac but that isnt doing much.
I need help

Thanks,
Josh

yes... take it to a shop that knows what they are doing before you blow it up. because you certainly don't...

nothing in this post... but the last 400...

the black on the back is too rich, but not at idle... from driving. take it to a shop and have them tune it with a wide band o2 sensor. there is no other way. as for the idle, with no airpump it'll be towards the rich side of an a/f gauge. do it like you are doing till it ildes good. if you can't get it to idle good. then it's probbaly vac leak or low compression. when you get it tuned they can check the idle too. not sure what it should be at.

Well I know it is from being to rich. I can tell because of the smell. I do have an air pump but since I dont have a cat it is pretty much useless.

I have been calling all kinds of shops that are near me and not 1 of them want to touch my car. I live in a city where everyone drives BIG V8's!

Other than a vac leak could it be that the injectors are clogged? Or if my intake filter is dirty and needs a replacement?

I know that I dont know EVERYTHING about my can but I have to learn somehow. I just wish that you didnt insult me because I dont know as much as you and alot of the other 7 owners on forum.
I come to this forum to learn. I hope that you can respect that!

Well clean or replace your air cleaner to start ... if thats what you suspect at least you could eliminate that. Also its not a bad idea to keep them clean even if its not the cause of your problem It wouls take one hellova dirty air filter to make it run bumper coating rich.

K&N cone filter.

I think you should check the adjustment of your TPS personally or check your O2 sensor. But you really need a fuel computer(i.e S-afc) to adjust your rich condition at idle. I get some smoke at start-up( very-little) because I have NO cats, mufflers, emissions and the ECU is running a rich condition naturally. It goes away in a few seconds though.
