okay I'm sure everyone groans every time this thread comes back to life; but I read it through a few months back, was wondering if there were still any advocates of this technique around?

Read the thread again and you should be able to pick out a few at the very least including Amur that I would be shocked if they had changed their opinions. Maybe you could PM some of the guys that did it but never commented on how things held up et cetera later

ok. i have a thought regarding the coolant hoses blowing. i had my spark plugs reversed (by mistake of course) and i was told this would create some nasty build up and whatnot. so i dont know how long it was like this but i drove my car a little hard trying to use just heating it up to clean the engine up. i didnt drive it much since but i did come up with a coolant leak. it was the hose behind the engine against the fire wall (wasnt sure if this is the same thing everyone else mentioned) ...... im wondering if maybe the coolant hoses went for a reason related to the clean up of carbon and not the chemicals, or methods?
i dont know, im probably talking outta my ***. and forgive me if i sound like i know nothing cuz its true. i just wanted to say i had a coolant leak without doing the CC trick i just drove for a few hours on the freeway hoping to clean it out.

I used Seafoam.
From what I can tell they basically both do the same thing, removes gum, varnish, carbon deposits and making a big smoke show
I used 3/4 of it through the vacumm lines for the engine and the left over in the gas. I never use it in the Oil for a rotary engine because I heard of them thining out the oil.

So at the dealership here in louisville theres 2 guys who are the rotary guys, can do engine swaps in a flash, works on almost all the rotaries in the shop I think. So I was talking to him one day and he said not to ever put carb cleaner in an RX-7 because he's had alot of people come in and say "well I put carb cleaner in it xx amount of time ago and now its running bad" and it has a blown engine.
These were his words and I don't have any personal experience with it, but this is just what i've heard.+

Okay, here's your plenum:
Basically a plenum is any chamber that distributes air. It seems like a misnomer to call this stamped casting a plenum, since the only distribution happening is a changed in direction. Anyway...
We have 3 nipples on the front of the plenum. The topmost one, the biggest one, goes to a splitter which in turn goes to your 4 OMP injectors.
The rest of what to do is already in this thread.

ok just to be sure about this cuz i hear more from ppl whos done this then ppl who say its a bad idea. cc is better then distilled water. and cc w/ lub is required. spray into the boost senser vac line for a few seconds and stop to relubricate the motor as its running at 2k rpms then spay again. should i also put oil into my gas tank (just a bit of course) to help lubricate the motor and this process. now am i right? i dont feel like im sure so i ask. i want to hear from everyone who's already done this and has been doing this and sure results.
note* i have a s4 n/a no emmisions and has over 200k miles on it

I read to much about the whole lubrication issue. If you are that worried, run 2 stroke 1oz per gallon which is pretty heavy or even more.
I just relized this has gone on for 17 pages....... yikes.

I know its been 7 years since the beginning of this thread but I was wondering how well: CC, Sea Foam, Carb Cleaner, H20 Treatment and ATF Treatment worked...(I found out that long term use of ATF treatment will destroy your engine "rubber" seals). How has this stuff worked in the past 7 years?
