Unhappy ruh-oh (while replacing the bac valve)

I took of and cleaned my BAC Valve, and during the reinstall I tightend the bolt on the top too tight and it snaped off. I searched and read up on drilling and tapping, but not sure if I could do it in that location. Any help would be great.
FYI: the car is a 88 Turbo II

Thanks,
Brian

Dremel a slot into the top of the stud and try a flathead?

I've done it in the past, but go really slow with it.

EDIT

Eh, never mind. Just reread your post. Dremels and Screwdrivers won't help on this.

That will work

If it doesnt, get a reversed drill bit, if that doesnt work, just drill it out and helicoil it

well, i would start by pulling the BAC back off and seeing if you can get some vice grips on what is left.

studs are usually fairly tight so i doubt the dremel trick will work for this.

think you maay end up doin a retap/helicoil.

hardest part will be gettin the hole in the same place. grind it flat and center-punch it and be careful..

I ended up using vice grips, worked perfeclty. But it still dies when I am coming to a stop with the AC on, what else could cause this problem other than the BAC?

Thanks,
Brian
