email to and from them. it turns outs that it will cost only about 10 more dollars to go from 1.7 to 2.0 so i just went ahead and got the 1.7 because all the 2.0 will be is a new chip i believe. they are also coming out with a 1.8 soon that supports 720cc primaries and secondaries, it will be the same price as the 1.7 and to move the from 1.7 to the 1.8 it will only be the cost of the new chip and you can install it your self.

i was just wondering on the release date for the 2.0 because im getting ready to buy one of your guy's upgrades and im wondering if i should wait for 2.0 or go ahead and get the 1.7. i was also wondering if i got the 1.7 is it possible to upgrade to 2.0 later?

No solid date yet, but almost the full price of the 1.7 will be able to be applied to the 2.0.

"The soon to be released v1.8 will allow for 720cc pri and sec. That is all
we offer. The code cannot be customized to 770c injectors.

v1.8 will probably $10-$20 more, if not the same price as the 1.7. To upgrade it will be at least $10 to cover the cost of the hardware. But if you are careful, you could swap the chip yourself without having to send the ECU in. All the modifications that need to be done will be done already.

2.0 is technically made.
The Rtek guys are based here in AZ.
They were asking us local guys for beta testers a few months ago but none of us could meet what they wanted for a good test.
The 2.0 should be pretty damn cool. I'd say it's pretty close to a Stand alone BUT obviously with less features. It manages the engine while giving you the ability to manipulate the fuel maps without a piggyback..
There should be a 1.8 which allows the use of 720's all around and if I remember right it might have a switch on it to just flip back to a 550/720 setup.
I know the 2.0 will have something like this.
I would love to get a Haltech but dependant on the final pricing the Rtek might be my choice since I'm still running stock turbo.

he means that the price you paid for the 1.7 will mostly be taken off the price of the 2.0 , so if hypothetically, if 2.0 was like $400 you would only pay $300 if you allready have the 1.7

Its really, really close. There's a few people around running the beta versions,
which has shown up a couple of minor problems, since fixed. Unfortunately its
been slow with winter and Christmas. The betas are all on modded cars which
don't tend to drive a lot during winter... we have poduction boards made and
parts ready to go, just need to finish the testing. 1st quarter is still most likely.
Consider it a standalone that's plug and play for S4 TII's and comes with a
great base map (stock). If you leave it with stock settings, then emissions
will not be affected as all the stock emissions controls are still present.
2.0 for S4 NA's will be next, likely beta in 2nd quarter.

I really have it bad, since I want one for a S5 TII, 2 S5 NA's, and 3 S4 NA's. I have the 1.7 in my 10th AE, although I'm using 720's and 890's, with a S-AFC. Great product!!!
Also, according to my last emails with Mike, there will be a discounted price for the 2.0 to anyone with a previous version. Nearly 100% of the cost of your previous version credited to your upgrade. Great people over there!!! IIRC, I ahd mine shipped out on a Monday, and I recieved it on Thursday morning. Fast, quality service at a bargin price.

watch the video on pocketlogger.com
you use a palm pilot. looks very nice from vid ive seen. has both graph and 3d maps for fuel and timing. just goes up and down a percentage of the stock map. you still just modify the stock map so if you set it to 0 it is stock again.
has both leading trailing and split timing maps for diddling with timing
also has a bunch of other nice *** functions.
its no joke. i love it for the money, but not sure if im gonna have to go more than rtek 1.7 and hks fcon before i just go straight haltech...i sure would love to keep all emissions functioning
