RTEK 1.5 or 1.7

does it really matter if I get RTEK 1.5 or 1.7? for the 1.5 its said you can self install it, and for the 1.7 its said you have to send in your ecu and they install the chip and send back your ecu. I don't really want to have to send out my ecu.

I beleive you have to soder it in and take apart your ECU. Are you willing to do that?

You can always buy one used off the forum.

just buy a used stock ECU off the forum for like 30-40 bucks then send yours out to get 1.7 installed and then sell your used one on the forum for 30-40 bucks...that way you arent out of a car for a few weeks...
