rpm question
i did a engine swap about half a year ago and my friend just drove my car and said why don't my rpms don't go up as fast as they used to do in his car[the one i took the enigne out of] before in his car they would just go up fast and in mine they take a while to get up and car is slower too only thing i add was a 89-91 intake new spark plugs and wires ,act clutch, and the car had headers when i got it.and the air flow meter was adjusted in the other car but not mine but you have to drill a hole on the top to adjust it and does any body now how to adjust it or it does not need messed with

Okay, you have a rebuilt s4, with a s5 Intake and you are comparitevly determained to know whats up mith your car considering your friends ride Is faster, atleast as you say In rpm's, right?
Since when do you have to adjust Air Flow Meters? If you have a s5 Intake on your s4 block then you will lose hp before you gain It back at 7000 rpms. Even still, you provide very little description of your friends car. Maybe their Is another factor on why your car Is running like crap.

he said that he got the engine from his freinds car, But in his freinds car it seemed to accelerate quicker and would rev up quicker also.
If you did an engine swap a year ago mabee you should look at giving it a tune up that would help restore its power a bit.

Seriously RX-7fc, this is a totally subjective measure, "well, on my car this was better" isn't a reliable analysis. You may use bigger diameter tires than he did (changes acceleration characteristics), your car may be heavier, or plain out something's wrong, we just don't know.
Best bet, dyno the car before you start f'ing with it and swaping sh*t around.

and it feels a lot faster when the temp gauge is up about 1/4 up and when it goes up a little more it feels a lot slower and before it did not do that and it can slip the wheel when it is up about 1/4 up on the gauge
