rough idle and gas in the oil

This started yesterday. It began to idle really rough and i checked the oil today and i smell gas. i checked the plugs out and they had alot of carbon, looked like oil. so i cleaned them and started it up. same thing. then i got to looking and i found the sensor next to the MAF which i think is the MAP was unhooked.(no vaccum) hooked it up and i decided to put a cone filter while i was at it. i also checked compression. it read 115 on both rotors. sorry dont know how to check each rotor face. after hooking that back up and putting the filter on it is quite a bit faster. but still has the rough idle.

i have no preblem above idle. it pulls fine. this is my first rotary car so i am clueless about the compression readings.

its a 1990 gxl

The gas smelling oil is normal for oil that has been in the car for a while.

To view compression on each rotor face, just hold down the relief valve on the compression tester while someone is turning the engine over.

Do another compression test with the relief valve held down, then we'll go from there.
