Issue with the oil pickup tube... snapped off one of the heads of the original bolt. Had to drill it out, snapped a drill bit inside it. 4 hours later she is fixed! Drilled and tapped for an 8mm bolt in that problematic side and re-tapped the original 6mm side. She is as good as new and got red thread locker on her.
Installed the oil pan and gasket/RTV again and bolted down the clutch and pressure plate. Installed the transmission. Hoisted her up and she literally eased right into the motor mount slots. So freaking stoked. Bolted the motor mounts down and transmission cross member bolts to the car!
I hope to have it running by the weekend. Hopefully working out all of the kinks and getting to drive her a lot this weekend.

Gonna have to say that oil meter adapter is pretty bad *** and i had thought of it myself, however it still has the problem of only using the low pressure injectors and not fully lubing the entire "wall" where as the premix method is the best for that. Hell i might do both as well

SHES ALIVE! Finished everything up yesterday!
Made sure that everything was tight and in place in the engine bay. Filled the transmission with fluid. I bought a new pump that screws onto the bottles and you pump it like a soap dispenser and it was the easiest/fastest/cleanest way of filling the transmission!!! After that I filled the coolant system, got as much air as I could out.
Added oil and installed the battery. Went for the first start. Well... she turned over but nothing. It was free spinning as if no spark. Hmmm... well, pulled a plug and wire and tried to arc it on the strut tower. Nothing. So I realigned the pulley timing mark on the front cover needle and re-stabbed the CAS perfect. Nothing. Checked the coilpacks w/ a multimeter for resistance. Checked the CAS.
Forgot one plug on the engine harness. Dark yellow plug got caught near the grommet when I was pushing it through. Plugged it in and went to go start her again.
She fired right up w/o the slightest bit of hesitation. I had to help hold her idle for about 5 minutes (I have the throttle body mod and emissions delete). But after that I set her for about 1600 rpms for about 30 minutes. Checked the coolant system and burped it properly. Closed the cap and watched for oil, water, and fuel leaks. There were NONE!
Dropped her off the jackstands and went for a test drive. She drove AMAZING. So smooth and w/o the slightest hickup. I installed a new transmission as mine was shot. 2nd gear syncros were gone and crippled any easy or hard driving. My new one is butter smooth. I can't explain how happy I am about having everything the way it is now. She feels great and drives so smooth. Put 35 miles on her last night and she fires right up everytime. I bump the key and it fires right up! No overheating or leaks.
Thanks to everyone who had a say in my questions about fuel and my setup. It's not much but I'm still learning. I have had so much fun w/ this. It feels awesome to have a brand new fresh motor in my car now. The engine bay looks loads better in my opinion too. I'll post pictures once she is finally all cleaned up and she gets a bath.

Thanks guys! She is starting to act up a bit which is expected at first I guess. She was bucking really bad under load yesterday. Changed the plugs and tightened up the engine harness ground. That helped but I can feel a little while cruising still. Not bad tho. Also the ******* add coolant light and warning buzzer keeps going off but she's full and the temperature is o'clock solid.

Looking great bro!!
So why did you replace the old motor? (sorry I have not been on this forum in a while)
That is an awesome feeling when you start up your first rebuild! Congrats!
BTW I really like the set-up you are going with....one of my earlier set-ups with the HKS F-CON, GCC and a hybrid turbo was the longest running, most beat on set ups i had and it ran perfect.
Sometimes subtle and mild motor mods are the best set-ups.

Thanks guys! Sean... I toasted my old motor when running a WS-6 Trans-Am. Got to the top of 3rd gear and she detonated bad. Got every apex seal except one. Front and rear rotor. I was running extremely lean for my mods I guess and running 10 psi. So yeah, after that happened I scooped up a longblock basically for parts.
Ended up that the one I picked up was a REALLY low mileage J-spec core. So that was going to be my core for my new motor. Basic rebuild w/ everything new and a streetport. Added those Siemens 550/750cc combo along w/ an FD pump, PLX wideband, etc.
I have 300 miles on her now and did in fact find a coolant leak. It's pinhole leak on the heater hose that runs from the firewall to the block. Source found for the "add coolan" buzzer issue I guess. But she never overheats. Hasn't come off a very low and barely 1/4 on the gauge since I fired her up. That hose is $39 so I'll be ordering one Thursday from Ray Crowe.
She is running great tho. I check the oil and coolant everyday before I start her up and drive her. Still gotta re-do and clean my grounds b/c I'm feeling some jerks in light/partial throttle while cruising. But I have some vacuum leaks also from my turbo inlet duct. It is the stock one original to the car. I'm going to order the one from corksport that is aluminum. Anywho... I am so happy to have my car back and running strong!

Had him by a fender from a 2nd gear roll. It was like 100* + outside so I was pretty happy. But still... not regretting it in any way. Already took care of what I wanted to do in the future had it not blown. Just sped up the process. lol. So I'm pretty happy!
