Rotary Innovation Dual Alt Pulley
So I bought a Dual Alt Pulley from here http://www.rotaryinnovation.com/new_products1.htm
And to my understanding this pulley only fits 86-91 RX-7 Alternators as the title says.
But I have a FD alternator so this means that I would have to get this pulley machined somewhere to fit the FD alternator shaft due to its larger size.
I Just need some clarification. Thanks in advance guys.

Yes, you will have to get that one machined or fabricate a new one to fit the FD alternator. It made me sad when I realized that after having bought and gone through the process of destroying my old alternator to remove it.

I did the same swap and was using the same pulley. I had problems with the length of the FD shaft on the alt, I ended up getting the pulley specifically for swapping an FD alt onto an FC
Here's a link to my thread about that

If I were you I'd simply get the pulley specifically for the swap.

so if the information is correct i have opened an account with a company that has them instock. i have ordered it and is on the way. i have spent 15 dollars I will recive it and see if it is correct. i am told the belts wont change but we will see when it arrives and if the belts do change I will put a kit together with the belts and pulleys and you can just go to your local parts store and pick them up. I will keep everyone posted

That's too bad. I bought the rotary innovations one for my S5 alt. Then when I upgraded to a 3rd gen alt I ordered the Banaitoyota one via ebay. Interestingly enough they both shipped from the same address...and now you can't find banzaitoyota on ebay either.

you know banzaitoyota is on our fourum and he seems pretty active. i only notice 2 items a month or so from him, but never a dual pulley. it sucks because he's a valuable source on this site and to the world. but I have heard of many people as you JUSTJEFF that has had great service from them both. who knows, we will see if i have the answer to this problem and might be able to source the rx7 community with quaility dual pulleys as we all should run instead of the ol' yoo hoo. lol

yeah man as soon as I get it in im gonna test fit it to make shure before i go and spread the news about it, and im gonna let the rx community know. my supplier has hundreds in stock. If it works out im gonna order a slew of them. i think the price with out a business account was 28 bones plus shipping im gonna sell them for 20 bucks or so, that should take care of shipping everywhere. im not looking to make anything i just want a buck or two for the time it took me to cross reference and find a supplier. but I will get back to yal asap
