Sorry to interrupt, but seriously, has no one hear heard of a geothermal tap? We have the technology now, it's even being used in a few places. Granted fusion power would be better, but I'm sure no one wants to develope a source of immense, cheap power. No money in that.

I doubt anyone minds your interruption considering you "barged" into a thread that died a decade ago.

Hmm, current dry cell technology can generate hydrogen at the rate of 1 litre per 22 second using only 11.54 volt and 22 amp. That should be easily supplied by alternator.

so the drycell generates hydrogen using water, hydrogen powers engine, engine powers alternator. All you need to do is add water to dry cell to keep the car going.

The real design challenge is that hydrogen's volumetric efficiency is lower than gas/oxygen mixture, thus less amount of hydrogen/oxygen mixture can be burned within certain volume, and lower amount of fuel burned means lower amount of force generated by combustion which cause the engine to run sluggish.

Mazda made Rx-8 run on Hydrogen using a electronically controlled hydrogen injector on top of rotor housing in 2009, instead of 200 hp the car only made 110 hp on hydrogen, which is very slow.

If the volumetric efficiency challenge can be improved to the level similar to gasoline/oxygen mixture then the hydrogen fuel would be the future of rotary engine.

I actually enjoyed your information more-so than the rest of the bickering of semantics.

Those damn perpetual motion machines! They suck, they keep running faster and faster until a divide by zero and the world implodes!
