Keep in mind, If you still have converters, that excess fuel in converters will cause tremendous heat and possibly melt converter catalyst causing exhaust restriction and NO power. I work in an exhaust shop and we see this quite a bit.

I have a BIG exaust leak, and no emissions testing here. I'm really just worried making it halfway and something un-forseen crapping out on me, because realistically, I've got no way on getting it towed or the like. I've looked into renting an auto-dolly and a truck from U-Haul but they wont rent one to me because I'm a minor, and nobody will sign for me.

Yeah, I had some vacation plans ruined a couple of years ago because I wasn't old enough to rent a car (22 at the time). I never quite understood WTH their problem with people under 25 was (it probably has something to do with insurance).

i am one who is always up for an adventure, i say go for it. but i would at least disconnect the rear fuel injectors. all they are doing is waisting gas, even with one good side there are still two sides spitting ~17% of your usual gas down the exhaust. just hope and pray that when you stop for gas the damn thing starts again, and obviously it will be hard to start especially hot, but hell your young and you only live once.

Ya I'm young, but I worked my *** off to get this car, and now I have a chance to work on it In a proper setting, with experienced rotarheads to guide me. I really want to take the risk, but if I don't make it... I'm broke and stuck off of I-75 in rural Kentucky.

I'm not entirely positive that I've completely lost the rear rotor, however it seems that way to me. I've put 2k+ miles on mine. Being broke is such a bitch. It takes a while to get up to speed, but I've been able to keep pace at 110 with some friends. Just take it easy, don't beat on it or try to drive it hard. Keep it at decent highway speeds, 70-80, and you should be fine. Good luck and hope to hear how it all turns out.

As everyone's said, unplug your fuel injectors and take it down the road. Even though that back rotor is working a little bit, you're still wasting a ton of fuel, not to mention that the extra fuel can catch the back of the car on fire (I've seen it before).

I had a customer drive a blown s5 vert (a heavy vert, with an already torqueless s5 engine of all things) from jacksonville fl to here for a rebuild, made it with no problems. Looked just like any other blown engine once I opened it up.

I've driven many a blown engine 7 before. Back when I used to buy and sell 7's before I built engines, I had a good week where every running 7 I had sold that week, and I was left with a blown engine 88 gxl. I had found a cheap used engine for it, and I fired that bitch up and drove 50 miles to pick it up on the blown engine...drove it home, tore it apart, and later that day had the new engine installed.

Well..... I made it. No real problems except my rotary doesn't like Cincinnati stand-still traffic on I-71. It gets kinda hot. Well there was one other problem.... we got stuck in an elevator while looking for a vending machine while we were letting the car cool down in Cinci. Took 2 hours to get out. That kinda set us back a bit. For anyone thinking about making a road trip on 1 rotor, (I know I'm not the only one), I say go for it.
