Cool On the road again....

I finally got to drive my TII today. It had been since December, due to the fact that I was away at school. I drove back from Iowa this morning with my dad (16 hours) and had him take me right to my insurance agent's office and then to the DMV. When I first started it, the car sputtered, smoked, and backfired like there was no tomorrow. I was starting to think I had some electrical problems to deal with, because turning on the lights would kill the car, and the tach kept dying, but I threw on a new negative battery terminal and stole my mom's battery (to be replaced tomorrow, of course ) out of her van that she's selling, and everything is fine now. I hardly got to drive it tonight, since the weather is shitty, but I have to drive it back from Iowa in a couple days, so I'll have plenty of fun with it then.

P.S. Since I have seen so many insurance threads over the years on here, I figured I'd mention that I pay $403 for 6 months of full coverage on my TII.

I live in Syracuse, NY and go to school at Iowa State. It's about 1015 miles away...almost far enough.

I go through State Farm, and I am on my own policy. That's the 25 year old rate...my old rate was $590 for 6 months.

I live in Ames, IA, which is a fairly small city, but my insurance is through my old agent in NY. (Syracuse...one of the smaller cities in NY)
