Same as topic.

I would like to know if these right side driver's seat fc3s are street legal in the United States. More specifically, in the state of North Carolina, for inspection, registration, etc.

Thanks.

yes- but you have a lot of paper work to do and homework here are some tips
1-registered importer
2-emissions
3-registration
4-customs -because its been imported
5-travel- tranporters, back and fourth from importers to registration to customs

alot of time in your hands and for an fc without counting shipping cost- make sure you have about $2500 in hand for anything that pops up

i know about all of this because i was going to transport a car from japan

RHD cars are legal in the US. They have been sold here by Saturn, Subaru, AM General (postal jeeps), and a handful of others that I can't think of right now.

Ostensibly they were for rural postal carriers, but anybody could walk into a Saturn or Subaru dealership and purchase a right hand drive Legacy or L-series. They come up for sale every now and then, and I remember driving one at the Saturn dealership. (IIRC the guy who bought it wasn't a postal carrier, he was just different )

RHD would be a PITA for tollbooths and drive-throughs, but it *would* make life easier for the police if you get pulled over.

Toll booths here we have an electronic pass that deducts money from an account and drive thrus I just back thru them.

Yes it is legal to convert a car in all 50 states.
