rich lean mixture setting???
my car is a turbo 2 running really rich. I got the injectiors rebuilt fixed all the intake leaks but now its even richer. i tried adjusting the rich lean mixture that is beside the left strut tower but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Do i have to ground something out to get it to work??or is there something else that i can adjust
thanks

Yep, idle only.
How do you know it's running rich? What symptoms are you seeing and when? At idle, when cruising, under load? Any mods? The more info you give, the greater the chance of getting useful answers.

it smells horrible when you follow it little bit of black smoke. the idle is fairly smooth but its usually around 1000rpm. The cats are cut out and i have an air fuel mixture gauge that reads all the way to rich. Is there any way to add more boost without a boost controller?that would lean it up a bit

If the acv or airpump or the vac hoses to the acv are not installed/installed right........any and all RX7 will show rich at idle. Only if the acv and all hardware are connected properly will a RX7 show approx 14 poin t whatever. Cars with a SAFC are exempted from what I just wrote.
The way I understand it, is that the acv injects Port Air into the exaust ports at idle so as to lean out the rich mixture that is needed to idle the engine. This Port Air leans out the mixture prior to the catalytic converter to a 14/whatever ratio.....Because catalytic converters are most effiecient when they see a 14/whatever ratio. So you can see, that if you disable the airpump/acv, the mixture coming out of the exaust ports where the 02 sensor is, will read rich without the mixed pure air from the acv/airpump.
I read that somewhere and bought into it hook line and sinker. It made sense. You can prove it on a car with full emissions. Just take the Blue plug off the Relief Solenoid and Bingo, the afr will change from lean to rich at idle. Or cut the airpump belt for the same effect.
