so as of now i have the mas air flow sensor on( i got a hold of a used one and made my own harness). before i had the sensor on i was using some resistors in place of the sensors to kinda trick the ecu, it kinda worked, better then not having any at all and it make the car run smother and idle better. just a temp fix. i used a manual and looked up the resistance the sensor should be putting out and i put in the corresponding resistor. i know the sensor is constantly changing and the resistor inst but again just experimental nothing permanent. i did it for both the mas air flow and the intake air tem sensors. i still need to get a intake air temp sensor, when ever i go to a parts shop/store i ask for the sensor and they say they dont have it in there system. is it called something ales? ( the sensor that goes on the elbow just before the throttle body). i hooked up the aif filter and all the turbo pipping as well as the knock sensor. i read a build a while back and did as they described.

""The best way to wire such a swap is to retain the NA wiring harness and change only a couple of wires. The NA motor has no knock sensor. The knock sensor goes to pin # 2M on both the NA and TII computers (below). On the S5 NA harness this wire is a yellow wire with a black stripe. This yellow wire goes to a white solenoid connector which is not needed on the TII motor. I cut this connector off and connected the TII knock sensor connector to it (left).

The connector that the NA motor uses for the 6 port induction solenoid needs to be cut off and the TII's Duty Solenoid connector added (right). ""

it lookes as this has already bin done for me. i didnt have to change a thing. the harness had already bin modified. maybe they did have a turbo engine running on the car after alll. just had to plug in the knock sensor and call it good. i waited to hook up the turbo pipping sens the knock sensor wasnt in yet and didint want to risk detonation. i was told/ and read that its bad for rotarys.

as far as boost goes i should be ok right? i just plumbed the wasted gate straight to the compressor housing so it should be running about 8 pounds of boost. again ill be ok right? for break in? not like the turbo really kicks in while im driving it sens im under 4000 RPM and it kicks in at about 3500-4000 RPM. i know this sens i also wired in the boost gauge and the air/fuel mixture gauge. also in a temp locating sens i need some panels.
when i first start the car it kinda seams to run a little lean, after letting it idle for a whole and revving it a little it kinda starts to climb to the richer side. i remember the ecu is chipped so ill have to see what kind of a tune that has on it. im sure that a retune might help some. when ever the car is at an idle and i try to rev it kinda quick it kinda trys to die and then responds (if that maeks sens) kinda take a second for it to respond. if i rev it kinda slow it revs fine. i know something is still not right sens that happens. ill be driving the car and if i give it gas it just kinda looses all its power and then shoots off like a rocket. i put the mas air flow sensor in pre turbo compressor, i hope thats right. cant see where ales it could fit. the car should only be taking in as much air as if flowing through the compressor right?

what ales....

time for an oil change! its kinda starting to get a darker brown color.
oil pressure gauge is also saying more then 100 psi. regulator was set to about 85 psi so kinda has me wondering whats going on. could it be sens its kinda of a fresh engine? when i first start it put at idle its at about 60 psi then climbes as it warms up.

is the oil pressure gauge in between the oil pump/cooler and the oil filter? if it is my guess would be that the oil filter maybe cant handle the voulume that the oil pump is throwing at it (sens pressure was increased) and im might have to get a bigger/higher capacity filter. thats what it lookes like here on this manual:

http://foxed.ca/rx7manual/manuals/19...on_system.pdf]

only way to find out is to swap out filter and see what happens. my old man (dad) have me an filter he had from a street bike he had (cbr 600) it looks like the fitting is the same, looks a little longer tho. idk if i should try it sens i remember reading a thred about how filters might look the same on the out side but might be different on the inside. they might filter better or worse/ smaller or bigger particles. ill have to look in to that, i think ill try wix filters and see how that goes....

what ales...

as far as i can tell this thing is going to consume (not waste) alot of gas! so far sitting and idling Ive put in about $50 worth of gas. might not seam like alot but like i said just sitting and idling. kind scares me, but then again i didnt buy it for its gas mileage. its a sports car. kind of herd they get V8 mileage

again ill have to get some pics up, i have an hd2 and ive taken all the pics with it, if you have one im sure your failure with porting android. i loanded out my usb and have to take my memory card out and put it in the printer,......

hers a short clip of when i first got the car running, unfortunately the sound doesnt work. the smoke you see is just half of what was coming out sens the exhaust was split off in to two. like i said it left puddles of oil but its smoke free now took a bit to start breaking in. ill try to get some more videos up soon.

thanks man. yea ive put alot of work in to it, i try to do things right the first time so i dont have to come back and redo them but sometime i get kinda exited and rush things . as far so money goes im not sure, kinda lost track i guess ive put in what i did for the internal parts and some other stuff like plugs ($10) each, water, vacuum, fuel hoes, all the other gaskets and o rings, silicones and sealers. lost of nuts and bolts. really not sure, have to be close to the $1500 mark, some where close and i still have more to go. some of the members signatures and avatars talk about how 7's will empty out your wallet. its starting to show.

on the vid i didnt have the radiator hooked up, just the water hoes, i didint run it for much.

so i put the harness back together after checking all the connectors and plugs, they all seam to be in good shape. moved a couple connectors to try and make it look cleaner... didnt help a whole lot. put everything ales back and it started for about 3 seconds then died. after that it would just kinda seam to try and start but wouldnt, sounded like only one rotor was running, has spark and fuel up to the rails. i took the cas out and span it to check for spark. while i did this i could hear clicking, sounded like it was coming from the injectors, im guessing there ok but thats my next suspicion. i will unplug the fuel pump and try to start it with started fluid. if it starts fine then i guess its fuel related. i plugged in the other ecu and it did the same.. nothing. i dont get how its ran ok before and now it wont start at all. thats what frustrates me the most.

help, any one? any info/tips would be appreciated thanks.
