Reverse Cowl/Extractor with Stock IC???
My GTU -> TII conversion has left me with very little $$ and I don't have a TII hood.
I am going to get the FC3s CF hood later on but in the mean time I don't want to run hoodless because I fear retards will walk by and either steal or unplug something.
I am going to hack my NA hood(don't worry,it's steel so not a waste).
I was going to cut a hole in it for the stock IC and was thinking maybe of adding a little raise in front so it pulled air out through the IC.
I'm guessing this will give me quite a bit of heat soak.
Any thoughts?
I'm probably going to add small vents on the sides above the turbo too just to try my hand at moulding and maybe help with turbo temps. I can fiberglass already so fabbing like a scoop instead of extractor isn't a problem. I was just thinking it would be unique.

Unique, but incredibly useless........
You'd be far better off forcing air through the 'cooler than to try and drag super hot engine bay air back through it..
Extrator vents need to damm near be a work of art and engineering to work efficiently unfortunatly.

NoNameo Ha that's funny but did you not even read my post?
I'm hacking a perfect hood because I don't have the money to even get a regular hood.
I agree with you White FC it would have to be made perfect. I did see a FG TII replica scoop. Maybe I'll buy that off ebay and mold it on.
or Maybe a WRX style scoop. Remember it's all temporary while I save for a CF TII hood.
So what do you guys think of the side vents? I think the FC2000 kit hood has them. Maybe I'll try and replicate them.
or maybe but I am leaning to the Re Amemiya ones.

Anyone know a good place to buy FG side vents? I checked ebay but they seem kinda cheaply made.
Also check out this for sale. I think I might get this as a hold me over.
