rev limiter
ok I heard that the s4 N/A has a limiter so you canīt rev it past 7600rpms or something like that
I fiund it hard to believe that since more then once I look down and the tach is pegged at 8000 and she is still pulling?
has mine been touched up or something or is there just no rev limiter?
the buzzer by the way still goes off at around 6800-7000rpms

hehe
haven't yet though and I have pegged the tach at 8000 more then once... just wish the tach went higher then that so I could see the real rpms I was pulling

Opinions are like........
Get a real tach. Don't assume that the dash isn't optimistic or is even accurate after 12+ years of service.
Edit: some aftermarket ecu chips eliminate the rev limiter
unless your engine is seriously modded, don't bother revving that high, the thought of the flywheel/accessories blowing apart will give me nightmares

maybe it is reading a little higher then what it should.... but I had that tach pegged hard doing somewhere around 45 in first gear... and granted the speedo might be off.... but I dont think it would be off enough to read that high and yet me not do over around 7800 rpms
