retrofitting S5 turbo into a S4

ok..im currently in the process of swapping a S5 turbo into an S4.......AFAIK the stock s4 boosts 5.5 and does not use any electronic boost controllers,..while the s5 uses some sort of electronic boost controller, can i swap the WG actulator as well?.....or is there any improvement to the S5 actulator....what else would be involved in this upgrade?....anything else i should know before hand before i start this so i dont get stranded at home with no car to go to the autoparts store..thanks

You can't use the S5 controller. It's controlled by the S5 ECU.
You won't have the twin scoll from the S4 either since the hotsides are different.

As of right now I'm running the S5 turbo uncontrolled. I plan to get a boost controller later on but have to get my fuel under control.

The waste gate actuator/rod is the same I believe.
To swap to a S5 turbo you will need.
-S4 oil drain line.
-S5 turbo
-S5 Turbo manifold

If you are using an unknown history turbo I would recommend getting it rebuilt/checked.
I went through 3 hotsides before I found one without destructive cracks in it.

if you are bone stock with stock cats and exhaust i dont think this upgrade will help you very much. the reason i upgraded to s5 turbo is that without cats and good exhaust installed the s4 wastegate sux and the boost creeps over 10lbs no matter what u do. s5 wg is much better and with a little porting i get no more boost creep. so if u r staying stock i dont see the need 2 go to s5 turbo. by the way i just swapped the exhaust manifold and the turbo exhaust housing to my s4 stuff and it all bolted right up np.
