Resetting CAS timing, not working out

i've done this plenty of times before, and it worked fine. Line up yellow marker on pulley, line up CAS marks, insert CAS without letting them misalign.

Did it 5 times so far, and each time the timing seems differently erratic, but never the same. And its bad enough to not let the car run worth a crap.

What is up?

Do the trial-n-error way then...
You basically have 6(?) ways of stabbing the CAS in.
Keep advancing the teeth until the engine starts...
Leaving the CAS cover off here helps.

exactly how should the little two edge rotor inside be setup in relation to the magnets?

The home tooth should be right off the edge off of them.
