replacing stock fan with metal one?
I was at autozone the other day and saw a couple nice metal black/aluminum colored fans. Not that it works any better, but it looks MUCH nicer than the stock plastic one. Im gonna paint up the fan clutch and then see if I can replace the stock fan with one of those aluminum ones from autozone tomorrow.
Before I go there and possibly waste my time, has anyone here had difficulties replacing the stock fan with the kind im refering to? Im just wondering if the seven fan is some unknown fan size and the only way to replace it is with an efan...
thx!

For those of you who are curious, I went to autozone today to check out what the had. The metal ones were real nice, at around 50$cndn each, they had all different sizes. Upon inspecting them though, they are designed to bolt up to the pully, and not the fan clutch. So officially, they will not work.
You could 'make' them fit by drilling a hole in the middle, and making an adapter so that it fits onto the fan clutch, but to much work, and the adapter would have to be balanced im sure.
case closed.
