Question Replacing driver side heater hose

While changing the fuel filter, I noticed coolant dripping from the driver side motor mount. It looks like the heater hose that runs from the firewall to the motor has a crack in it at the hose clamp. What is the best way to change the heater hose? Do I have to remove any thing to gain access to the hose to motor connection?

Go ahead and drain the coolant at the radiator before removing the hose. You'll still probably get some spillage, so keep a rag/small bucket handy. Do you have enough room to get at the clamp? At both ends? If so, then you don't need to take anything off!

It looks like I can get to the clamps OK, but I think the hose is going to be stuck to the motor inlet pipe after I loosen the clamp. I will have to cut the old hose off the pipe. Do you think removing the two rear spark plugs would give me enough room to reach down and cut the hose from the side?
