Thumbs up replacing apex seals

im looking at buying an 87 turboII. the apex seals are bad. the guy wants $2000. i was wondering about how much it ill cost and if its worth it.

how does he know the apex seals are bad.

You KNOW that this is double talk for BLOWN ENGiNE right?!

And NO thats not a good deal for a blown motor.

Your staring a $2000 repair bill in the face once you buy it.

And that conservative.

Yeah, that **** sucks if its blown. I would say pass on that one.

I'd pay him $2000 IF it had a lot of extra stuff that I either wanted, or that I could sell fairly easily AND had an extra $2000 for a new ported/polished/bling bling motor with a few extra's added on to it...but at that price WITH a blown motor...you're already BELOW the power curve.

No way dude, I payed 800 for mine with a RB full 3in turbo back exhaust. That guy is nuts.

That cars worth 750-1000 bucks. No more. The guys not nuts for asking for 2000, if he can get it. But I'd say the person who gave him 2000 bucks is nuts for sure.

$2000 is incredibly expensive for an early TurboII with a blown motor. I paid $1500 for my '90 TurboII with a Turbo Timer and OBX exhaust.
